Meet the Mayor and Staff

Mayor Michael Davis

Michael Davis and his wife, Kathy, married in 1994. They have one adult daughter, Lindsey, and two grandsons, Kellen and Corbin.

Michael has been an elected public servant since 2005, serving in several capacities including City Councilmember and, twice, Mayor of Meridian.

He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and previously ran a small manufacturing business downtown.

Before entering public service he served as a Navy officer and naval aviator, and spent 24 years as a commercial airline pilot. He is also a former bank vice president.

His elected and public service extends to many other organizations and boards, including the Meridian Council of Governments, the Regional Airport Land Use Commission, the Chamber of Commerce, Boys and Girls Club, and Habitat for Humanity.

Mayor Davis is the recipient of numerous distinguished recognitions, including the Families First Award, the American Planners Association Leadership Award, Citizen of the Year, and the PTA Honorary Service Award.
